I am using codecademy to train myself up in stuff. I have been having a problem checking my work. To check my work, I must access localhost I have been looking around the web for a solution to this issue, but I have not found anything.

I am running Windows 10 Professional 64 bit. I am beginning to believe that I have made a mistake by continuing to use Windows. I have never had an issue accessing Localhost before, when using other tools. I have deployed tools like HP SiteScope windows boxes before, without having this issue, but not on Windows I have tried 3 separate browsers to access localhost and failed every time, Edge, IE and Chrome.

I get a connection failure there as well. I have uncommented the second line as well, with no effect. I tried using my IP address and accessing the same port. This fails as well. I have stopped Windows Firewall and switched off Windows Defender with no effect. Is there a solution allowing me to browse localhost using Windows 10 Professional? Is this just a matter of resetting a setting?

Any suggestions would be awesome. If I do not find an answer in a few days, I think that Windows 10 ftp server connection refused free download may reformat my drive and install an older version of windows or perhaps Ubuntu may be the answer.
